Four holes, 41.9m, 75.0m, 147.5m and 145.4m deep, were drilled and 350m of cores from them were sent to Japan. Two winches, two electrodrills, and five thermal drills were made for the operation. The operation is chronologically outlined from the embryo stage of its planning, with emphasis being laid on its technical aspect.}, pages = {1--24}, title = {Outline of the Drilling Operation at Mizuho Station}, volume = {10}, year = {1978} }
