This report describes the developments of barium shaped charge technique in Japan for the purpose of field line tracing experiments in the near future at Syowa Station by means of S-510 type rocket. PETN/EPON type shaped charges were first tested. In that case the initial velocity of barium jet was 4 km/s and the spreading angle was 5°. Baratol/composition B type shaped charges were tested next. The initial velocity of barium jet was 8.9 km/s and the spreading angle was 1°.
