The aqueous alteration resulted in the alteration of anhydrous silicates, metal, and sulfides, producing a complex mixture of Fe-Mg serpentines, Fe-Ni-S-O phase (tochilinite), and minor Fe-rich oxides and Fe-Ni sulfides.
