An artificial ice cloud was formed in a cloud chamber which was set up in a cold laboratory, and the scattering intensity of laser light (wavelength of 633nm) scattered by ice clouds was measured as a function of scattering angle. The ice crystals were simultaneously observed during the light scattering measurements. In this paper, we discuss the relationships between the light scattering properties of ice clouds and the shapes of ice crystals, which are one component of the physical properties of ice cloud.}, pages = {130--139}, title = {EXPERIMENTAL STUDY ON LIGHT SCATTERING FROM AN ARTIFICIAL ICE CLOUD}, volume = {12}, year = {1998} }
