The survey area covers the continental slope and rise as well as Bruce Rise in the western end of the margin. Sediments above the basement in the survey area are divided into six sequences. The continent-ocean boundary (COB) occurs at about 64°S, and total thickness of sediments exceeds 5 s in two-way time around the COB in the eastern part of the survey area. Bottom simulating reflectors are frequently observed in the continental slope area. A conspicuous unconformity is observed in Bruce Rise. The basement almost crops out near the northern and eastern ends of the rise, and the sequences below the unconformity dip west to southwest.}, pages = {91--108}, title = {PRELIMINARY REPORT OF GEOPHYSICAL AND GEOLOGICAL SURVEYS OF THE WEST WILKES LAND MARGIN}, volume = {9}, year = {1996} }
