Specifically, the distribution and abundance of ^<13>C-rich carbonaceous matter was qualitatively investigated to provide data on diagnostic patterns and intergroup relations, and to identify possible differences between Antarctic and non-Antarctic C1 and C2 meteorites. The data reveal that the C1 and C2 groups possess different carbon isotope profiles, which could be useful as an aid to classification.
