The paper describes the migration flows in the Chukotka Autonomous Okrug as a whole, while the fifth section traces the processes of weakening and full closing of each separate settlement. Although the sharp decline in population in the Chukotka Autonomous Okrug was often mentioned in various materials, few specific research has been conducted with the main aim of studying this problem. As is well known, most of the USSR population lived in the European part of the country. At the same time, managing new territories was conducted in a planned manner toward Siberian regions, despite being situated far from large European markets. Presumably, these were attempts to obtain an effective return through the policy with ignoring economic principles. The resulting negative “return” of such state policy of regional management is shown by the present study.","subitem_description_type":"Abstract"}]},"item_10001_relation_14":{"attribute_name":"DOI","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_relation_name":[{"subitem_relation_name_text":"10.1016/j.polar.2018.11.002"}],"subitem_relation_type_id":{"subitem_relation_type_id_text":"https://doi.org/10.1016/j.polar.2018.11.002","subitem_relation_type_select":"DOI"}}]},"item_10001_source_id_9":{"attribute_name":"ISSN","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_source_identifier":"18739652","subitem_source_identifier_type":"ISSN"}]},"item_access_right":{"attribute_name":"アクセス権","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_access_right":"metadata only access","subitem_access_right_uri":"http://purl.org/coar/access_right/c_14cb"}]},"item_creator":{"attribute_name":"著者","attribute_type":"creator","attribute_value_mlt":[{"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"Kumo, Kazuhiro","creatorNameLang":"en"}],"nameIdentifiers":[{}]},{"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"Litvinenko, Tamara","creatorNameLang":"en"}],"nameIdentifiers":[{}]}]},"item_keyword":{"attribute_name":"キーワード","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_subject":"Chukotka","subitem_subject_language":"en","subitem_subject_scheme":"Other"},{"subitem_subject":"Population","subitem_subject_language":"en","subitem_subject_scheme":"Other"},{"subitem_subject":"Abandoned cities","subitem_subject_language":"en","subitem_subject_scheme":"Other"},{"subitem_subject":"Extreme North","subitem_subject_language":"en","subitem_subject_scheme":"Other"},{"subitem_subject":"Soviet policy","subitem_subject_language":"en","subitem_subject_scheme":"Other"}]},"item_language":{"attribute_name":"言語","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_language":"eng"}]},"item_resource_type":{"attribute_name":"資源タイプ","attribute_value_mlt":[{"resourcetype":"journal article","resourceuri":"http://purl.org/coar/resource_type/c_6501"}]},"item_title":"Post-Soviet population dynamics in the Russian Extreme North: A case of Chukotka","item_titles":{"attribute_name":"タイトル","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_title":"Post-Soviet population dynamics in the Russian Extreme North: A case of Chukotka"},{"subitem_title":"Post-Soviet population dynamics in the Russian Extreme North: A case of Chukotka","subitem_title_language":"en"}]},"item_type_id":"10001","owner":"25","path":["1984"],"pubdate":{"attribute_name":"公開日","attribute_value":"2019-09-30"},"publish_date":"2019-09-30","publish_status":"0","recid":"15917","relation_version_is_last":true,"title":["Post-Soviet population dynamics in the Russian Extreme North: A case of Chukotka"],"weko_creator_id":"25","weko_shared_id":-1},"updated":"2023-07-25T13:20:11.898298+00:00"}
