The data make it clear that the regional metamorphism in the region, probably Late Proterozoic in age, was of the medium-pressure type and that the regional metamorphic rocks locally underwent the retrograde alteration, including local development of andalusite, during the Early Paleozoic thermal event contemporaneous with the emplacement of granite and pegmatite.},
