The aim of this paper is to describe the mesopelagic fish community and its size distribution. The family Myctophidae dominated the mesopelagic ichthyofauna, while bathylagids were abundant in deeper hauls. Bathylagids, Cyclothone spp., Gymnoscopelus opisthopterus, Electrona antarctica, Protomyctophum bolini, and Krefftichthys anderssoni were the most abundant taxa in the samples and showed size stratification with depth. Community and size structuring appear to be influenced by the hydrology and by the proximity of the continental margin, as well as a relationship to the circulation of the Modified Circumpolar Deep Water., 2008年夏季のDumont d’Urville Sea(東南極)の中深層性魚類群集を,中層トロールを用いて調査した。ハダカイワシ科魚類が中深層性魚類の中で優占したが,深い曳網ではソコイワシ科が最も多く採集された。ソコイワシ属sp.,オニハダカ属spp.,Gymnoscopelus opisthopterus,Electrona antarctica,Protpmyctophum boliniおよびKrefftichthys anderssoniが最も多く採集された。ソコイワシ属sp.とE. antarcticaの体長は採集深度とともに大きくなった。群集と体長構成は,Modified Circumpolar Deep Waterの循環と関連するとともに,海洋物理環境と陸棚縁辺からの近さに影響を受けていると考えられる。}, pages = {195--210}, title = {Size distribution of meso- and bathypelagic fish in the Dumont d'Urville Sea (East Antarctica) during the CEAMARC surveys}, volume = {5}, year = {2011} }
