Material was gathered in six localities that were highly diverse in terms of the nature of soil-like substrata, presence of viral antigen determinants, and the average nucleus area and relative DNA content in leaf epidermis and parenchyma cells. Our results show that Antarctic hairgrass lives upon soils that are variable with respect to trace elements, pH, and other soil characteristics. The hairgrass is susceptible to a number of viruses, and shows substantial variation in DNA content and nucleus size., Maritime Antarcticaに成育するナンキョクコメススキの生態について、土壌条件、ウイルス汚染、細胞核面積、相対DNA量に注目して調査を行いました。土壌条件が大きく異なる6地区から植物を集め、葉の表皮や柔細胞のDNA量などを調べた結果、ナンキョクコメススキは、微量元素、pHなど土壌条件が大きく異なる地域で生育していることがわかりました。また、ウイルス汚染に敏感で、DNA量や核面積も大きく異なることがわかりました。}, pages = {121--128}, title = {Habitat and leaf cytogenetic characteristics of Deschampsia antarctica Desv. in the Maritime Antarctica}, volume = {1}, year = {2007} }
