内容記述 | Data on microcalorimetry and CO_2-evolution of soil samples and lichens from maritime and continental Antarctic habitats were compared. Values from soil samples showed a strong relationship to the organic matter content. Microbial biomass estimates determined from conversion factors were compared with biomass estimates from epifluorescence microscopy. There are basic differences in the microbial biomass data among individual samples. They can be attributed to different physiological states of the microbial communities and their original habitats.
