The atmospheric model used is the MSIS-86 empirical model developed by A. E. HEDIN (J. Geophys. Res., 92,4649,1987), and the method of calculation is the two stream approach applied to the electron transport equation by K. STAMNES (J. Geophys. Res., 86,2405,1981). The altitude profiles of N_2,O_2 and O which are main species in the thermosphere vary with the magnetic activity level represented by the Ap index.
