The direction finding measurements have been made for these hiss-triggered chorus events. On the basis of the direction finding results and detailed analysis of the fine structures in the hiss band, we have suggested a generation model how a chorus is triggered by a hiss such that some coherent wavelets near the top of the hiss band phase-bunch electrons at the equator, and these phasebunched electrons radiate a coherent signal as they move away from the equator. Also, theoretical computations have been carried out in order to explain the df/dt, θ value (the polar angle between the wave normal direction and the Earth\u0027s magnetic field) and other factors by means of a two-dimensional ray-tracing method.
