The ^\u003c53\u003e(Mn) activities in these meteorites are all close to the saturation value which indicates exposure ages longer than 4 million years. The effect of weathering on the ^\u003c53\u003e(Mn) content was investigated in two oxidized meteorites, Yamato-7301 and Allan Hills-76008. These meteorites have been shown by our previous works to have experienced two-stage irradiations in space. The ^\u003c53\u003e(Mn) contents in the metal phases agreed within the error with those in the non-magnetic phases which contained high concentrations of oxidized Fe of metallic origin, and also with the values for bulk samples previously reported. The effect is clearly shown of minor significance.
